we are originals
Some Adidas lovin’.
I love these girls. They got edge. But I don’t understand Sandara’s dorkiness. It’s cute but a lil weird of Adidas. But anyhow.
I was watching the HK version of All In, with Eason Chan. Not as convincing. Lack the street cred. He’s cool though, I like him. Like as much as I love the idea of Katy Perry, she was sorta off in there too. I like 2NE1′s better cos it’s so focused on the street cred labels with the star power push. But well, I also get I’m speaking from the Asian’s point of view where idolism and celebrity icons are the ways to go.
I’m not crazy convinced about this mix of pop cult, street cred and sports. I have always love Originals for their love for the streets. To emphasize on sports again, THOUGH THAT’S THE POINT FOR ADIDAS…It got a lil messy huh? Still flashy, still trippy. But it didn’t quite push through the “All In” message for me. But I get their point – heart over head, inclusion over ego, united by passion. We go all in.

Y-3 Campaign
A post in a while.
Anchored in Hong Kong right now. Gonna get even busier now.
But Y-3 gets me excited.

double doors
minho and onew for W Korea.
Quite a European looking shoot. Reminds me of this old Calvin Klein shoot, will post that up later. I think it’s CK, I think.
Still don’t dig Minho’s mainstream face. As much as they try to give him andro-high-fashion hair, still not working. I can still picture him playing soccer in the nearby field too much. Onew has good vibes here. Because I can’t understand korean, towards the end of his interview I can imagine him transform in Douglas Neitzeke. What a symmetrical shoot.
Nice nice very nice. Let me know if I can pick this magazine up outside Korea.

Junji Hata for Popeye
From June’s issue of Popeye. Speaking of it, I haven’t been buying Popeye for a long time. Anyway, I have been dying to show everyone this, other than it’s Douglas Neitzke, it’s asian-influenced-western-dandy now on a non-asian. It’s correct yet quirky yet correct and quirky again. Love such crazy systems.
Inspired to make my own checkered shorts. Haha.
